Karin Helander

Karin is a professor of theater studies. She served as the director of The Centre for the Studies of Children’s Culture 1998-2014, and as Deputy Vice- Chancellor of Stockholm university 2015-2017. Since 2019 she is the Secretary General for Royal Swedish Academy of Letters, History and Antiquities. On the subjects of 20th century theater, children’s theater, drama for children, opera and the art of acting, she has written more than ten books and a great amount of articles. She is active as a critic in Svenska Dagbladet since 1998.
