Accessability

Bibu actively promotes accessibility to ensure that the performing arts are accessible to all, whether you sit in the audience or work as an artist.

The last three biennials have had a focus track; "Temaspår Funktion" with performances, seminars and workshops. The aim was to highlight perspectives on the inclusion of, and accessibility to, children and young people with disabilities in the performing arts, and to inspire performing arts organisations and independent groups to create adapted productions for this often overlooked audience. 

bibu 2026 contained performances, talks, a political meeting and international collaborations which highlighted both access to the performing arts for audiences with disabilities and the conditions faced by disabled artists working on stage and behind the scenes.
