Nominate international production bibu 2028

We invite you to nominate your production for bibu 2028!

If you would like to nominate, please note that submissions are only accepted through application form below. 
All application text must be in English. Applications must be submitted no later than 11th of January, 2027. However we strongly encourage you to send in your application before the deadline.  

Eligibility requirements:

* Nominated productions must be aimed at audiences between 0-19 years.

* Nominated productions must be available to perform during the bibu festival taking place on the 30th of May – 2nd of June 2028  in Helsingborg, Sweden.

• You can only nominate ONE production per company. Failure to do so will make all of your nominations from your company ineligible. 
   
• In order for the nomination to be accepted, a link to a recording of the entire performance must be attached. A trailer alone is NOT sufficient. The performance video link must be translated/have subtitles in English or be without spoken words. If a link to the filmed performance is not attached or translated, the nomination will not be considered.
   
• When you show your performance at bibu the performance will have to be accessible for a young Swedish audience, i.e. it needs to be either performed in English, subtitled in English or Swedish, or be without words.
   
• You can only attach a technical rider as a PDF, max 15 MB.
  Do not send any photos, documents, technical information etc by mail.

The international selection committee will focus on selecting performances that represent strong examples of performing arts that inspire, stimulate debate, are at the forefront of artistic development, and demonstrate a high level of artistic quality.

Please also tell us in the application form how your performance meets these artistic criteria.

Bibus international productions will be selected by bibus International Selection Committee consisting of four persons and bibu's directors.

Disclaimer: Our aim is to cover travel, accommodation and an artistic fee for the selected performances. There is no standard fee, this will be agreed upon in dialogue with the selected companies.
