Working with the Child Perspective
- Unga Klara
In this workshop, we take a hands-on approach in identifying what a child’s perspective could be —and to using it when working with theatre for children. Through exercises based on memories and experiences from our own childhoods, we gain insights into what can be made meaningful, and the opportunity to relate more directly to children and young people. How do we create narratives that move beyond clichés or ingrained assumptions, and instead speak more directly and honestly from the child’s point of view?
Drawing on the exercises Memories for Use, we explore ways of creating theatre from a child’s perspective, led by Unga Klara’s artistic directors Gustav Deinoff and Farnaz Arbabi.
