The play Vår klass tells the story of ten teenagers in a small Polish village in 1925 and through the nazi and sovjet occupations all the way to this day. What happens when the sincere friendship from childhood years turns into hostile enmity? Who is the victim and who is the perpetrator? Anja Suša, one of Serbias main directors, engineers this important and deeply moving play that has gained great renown all over the world.

English translations/subtitles are available.

From 16 years

Anja Sušas, as the director, has transformed Tadeusz Słobodzianek’s play ”Vår klass” to a concentrated studie in the alone human’s responsibility for the groups abusive behavior. Starting off in the athentic happenings in the polish village Jadwabne 1941, when hundreds of polish jews were murdered by their neighbours, the different scenes are showed ending up in the catastrophy. In Helga Bumsch’s museal scenography the present as well as the history are shown. We are given a glipse of the happening who widens our perspective to embrace our time, and the choices we needs to make even today.
