Game Over
- Banditsagor
When ten years old Lisa is diagnosed with a disease, the kind you don´t get well from, her dad comes up with an idea. He develops a videogame designed to help Lisa and the family to cope with the worst of outcomes. The game turns out to be an unexpected success and with it the family situation is put to the test.
Through colourful projections of retro game graphics and an ingenious landscape of sound, the audience is invited into an authentic game world. A world where you can find magic O'hoys that makes you run faster, cardamom buns for extra bonus points and blobs chasing you, trying to make you lose the game.
The play addresses the injustice that children can get terminally ill. Furthermore it revolves around video gaming. Is gaming an escape from reality or an important tool which enables us to speak about the intangible and difficult?
Banditsagor has developed a videogame suitable for phones, pads and computers. The videogame relates to the game developed in the play Game Over and is available free for download at App Store and Google Play. Search for BANDITSAGOR-GAME OVER.
