Echoa (France)

French dance company Arcosm presents the highly praised ECHOA. The production reflects the company’s objective to build bridges between artistic disciplines and languages. Drums of all descriptions are cleverly organized on scaffolding so that seven distinctly different dance scenes can unfold below. The movement and rhythm become flawlessly intertwined as the artists explore the questions: How does a percussionist dance? How does the body of a dancer sound? ECHOA hones dance musicality and highlights the choreography of music. It is an unforeseen dance experience which can be seen through the ears.

With playfulness and humour Echoa speaks to all ages and all senses. Two dancers and two percussionists use rythm, movement and voice to show the beauty of human emotions and relationships. With admirable virtuosity they create not only visual and auditive poetry but also entertaining situations we all can recognize. This performance is a tribute to life, love and having fun!
