- Arrangeras av: Scen:se och Bibu
Creating possibilities and co-creating artistic work for children and youth with complex needs. Key note by Ellie Griffiths, Oily Cart theatre with special guest speaker Fiona Ferguson, Imaginate.
Ellie Griffiths is the artistic director of Oily Cart Theatre and has directed several inclusive performances for children and young people with complex needs, amongst them Sound Symphony which is performing at Bibu. Oily Cart theatre creates sensory theatre for very young children and for those with complex need; profound and multiple disabilities, autistic spectrum condition, deafblind and multi-sensory impaired.
Ellie will talk about her work at Oily Cart and also about the bigger perspective in creating theatre and performing arts accessible for all people. Ellie has also worked together with Fiona Ferguson from Imaginate in Scotland.
Fiona works at Imaginate with artists development in supporting the development of new work and work in schools and wants to specially address the shortage of work for audiences with complex needs through diffirent projects. Fiona will present a few examples of this, one of them the Jerwood Fellowship which is in collaboration with Oily Cart Theatre and offers professional development support for artists over two years to explore performance ideas for children and young people with additional needs.
