Kärnan - Slottshagen

Park med stort torn i mitten

To find Kärnan, make your way up the large “Terrassentrapporna”-steps, which begin at Stortorget. Once you have climbed the steps, you will see the tower Kärnan. To the left of the tower you will find a large tent where the performance will take place.

The venue is not fully wheelchair accessible, but visitors with mobility needs can make use of Terrasshissen — a public lift located to the left of the stairs.
Costs and other info about payment: You can pay for the lift with a debit or credit card. The current fare for an adult is 13 SEK (children aged 7–19: 8 SEK). You can also travel using Skånetrafiken's 24-hour ticket.

Kärnan is Helsingborg's proud symbol and a popular destination for the whole family. The tower has protected the city's inhabitants for 700 years, and those who climb the 146 steps are rewarded with a fantastic view of Helsingborg and the Danish coast.

The adjacent Slottshagen has summer dining, the outdoor stage Grytan and the city's largest playground to date, Medeltidslekan. The park is an ancient monument area and one of the country's most prominent turn-of-the-century parks, with winding paths, flower arrangements and unusual trees such as tulip trees, ginkgo and Siberian cork trees.
