Helsingborg City Theatre has been running theatrical operations since 1921, serving a primarily local and regional audience.

The theatre produces between six and ten productions per season, usually independently but also through co-productions with other performing arts institutions and the independent arts scene. Helsingborg City Theatre is part of Helsingborg Arena & Scen, one of Sweden's larger culture and events companies.
