Acrobatic movement theatre workshop
- DynamO Théâtre
This hands-on session introduces DynamO Théâtre’s unique artistic approach: acrobatic movement theatre. How do you script movement in space? What are the rules? The idea is to focus on the fun of acting through various theatre-of-movement development exercises. This type of workshop introduces participants to the acting concepts developed by DynamO Theatre since the company began. Such concepts were first developed by Jacques Lecoq and Philippe Gaulier.
DynamO Théâtre, based in Montreal (Canada) is an internationally renowned theatre company whose work focuses on developing, producing and performing Theatre of Acrobatic Movement and Clowning productions for families and young audiences. Since it began in 1981, DynamO Théâtre produced 25 Canadian plays and gave over 4,800 performances in 31 countries on 5 continents for over 1.5 million spectators.
The workshop is run by physical actors and directors Andréanne Joubert and Yves Simard.
